AOBChem is one of the leading companies in research, manufacturing, development and sourcing a wide range of quality chemical compounds. Headquartered in Beijing, with the principle distribution hub in Los Angeles, California, the company boasts an extensive network of clients in the United States, Asia, Europe, and Australia. Quality of the product and services at competitive industry rates is what sets AOBChem apart, along with the ability to service the orders from milligrams to tons.
AOBChem felt their old website did not align with their company vision as a world-class manufacturer and a thought leader. The design was lacking in visual appeal and provided a poor user experience to the visitors. Company’s online corporate image was suffering due to the outdated website that did not accurately portray their professionalism and cutting edge industry expertise. AOBChem also needed an online store that would provide a convenient and secure ordering experience.

Elevating the Brand
Based on the meeting with AOBChem management team, we began designing the corporate logo and homepage. The custom design is based on user friendly and easily navigable content structure, as well as the appealing visuals. The complex technical information is presented in a coherent and digestible way, to make the buying process easier for both engineers and purchasing managers.
One of the important tasks was to perform a deep-dive into AOBCHEM analytics, content, and internal processes to completely re-map their overall website structure to provide a better experience for visitors and employees. We recommended and implemented a Magento 2, the most flexible and scalable ecommerce platform.

AOBChem acquired its first online sale almost immediately upon launching the new ecommerce website and has been gaining on consistent online sales ever since. Clients of AOBChem are now free to place orders outside of office hours, which has led to greater customer satisfaction and more sales opportunities. In addition to this, AOBChem has seen a significant boost in organic ranking for highly relevant keywords.
Custom Features
One of the most complex features implemented was the highly specific search that allows customers to find chemicals and chemical compounds by name, molecular formula or CAS number. Using this feature, clients can search AOB chemical database for an exact or substructure match on their molecule of interest, making browsing and ordering process more streamlined.
